Thanks

Ok well as no one else seems to have tried I decided to busk it.
Now this is not my pistol, it's Chrissy's so nothing too heavy to start with, also this is the UK where pistols are limited to 6 fpe and that is that, no licence for more powerful ones, 6 fpe is the LIMIT.

OK so common sence applied, if you want to make a CO2/PCP gun hit harder then hit the valver harder!
So I upped the hammer weight by 50% with lead and packed out the spring a little. It went from 299 fps to 308. Hmmmmmmmmmm Not quite the increase I was looking for. So a complete strip down, out with the valve and dismantle. EURIKA! 2 fat washers behind the valve spring! Removed them and its now shooting 380+ .Much better! JUST under the 6 fpe limit.
I'm taking it back to Chrissy this weekend so she can give me her opinion so for now I'm not sure what the gas consumption will be like, I'll keep you posted on that one.
By the way, if you have one of these a good dose of moly grease around anything to do with the trigger makes a BIG improvement!

Sounds nice Ian,

I don't have a Gamo P23, that's why I did not respond to your posts.

But I suspected that you did have one, and did something pretty nice to it !

Looks like it will be a fun little shooter though !

Thnks Bill, I think it's much better but we'll let it's owner decide on that one.
