Ed,  It appears that you really like this gun.  This is the NP trail and not the XL version, right?  I'm trying to decide between the two.  How powerful and accurate is it?  Have you taken any game larger than squirrels with it yet?  If not, do you think that it's powerful enough for raccoons or groundhogs? How much tuning has Gene done on it?  Favorite pellets?  I understand that I will need to clean the barrel, install a GRIII trigger, replace the seal and possibly upgrade the scope in order to achieve consistent accuracy in either version.  I intend to punch paper and do some hunting.  Thanks in advance for your feedback.  Tom

I plan on hunting Bandit's with it and know it will have no problem dropping them if the hunter does their part. This Trail was pushing CP 14.5gr at 760fps and is very accurate considering it's still breaking in. Gene did the debure, lube, seal and machined a guide sleeve which slides around the gas ram and inside the pston, makes for a better fitting ram as it sit's in the piston. So far I've only tested the FTP and their very accurate since I'm hitting nutters out past 25yrds. I will be testing other hunting ammo down the road. Ed

So far she's proven to be deadly on the nutters but will get broken in on other critters. Ed

Well, Ed, for a guy who has never killed a gray squirrel before this trip south, it looks like you are making up for lost time.  Need to get you up to the place in NC where the gray squirrels are more plentiful, though.  Good shooting.

Wow...nice action shot of the nutter falling down.  Yup, Ed`s got a fantastic shot.  His Benji Trail NP is smacking those nutters hard.
