Need help with Daisy 188
« on: April 08, 2010, 02:44:29 PM »

I got my hands on a Daisy 188 pistol this evening. Like a kid with a new old toy.

This one is missing the safety. I'd also like to tear into it and rework the innards. I've scoured the internet looking for any documentation or info on this model but struck out. Anybody out there have any loose parts (like a safety) or manuals I can beg or buy? Could use some teardown instructructions or help from anyone that has worked on these before.

Thanks folks!!!

Happy Shooting!!!!

Thanks. I Googled it but somehow missed that. Good teardown procedure, I printed it off. I also contacted Daisy customer service and asked for an exploded view of both. I looked in the Library section and the list of breakdowns is slim. Gene, you might want to add these two (or not) to the Library section. I've looked up the parts I need to refurbish both of these old pieces and will be placing an order with JG Airguns shortly. I'm on the search this year for almost any and all older AGs that I might be able to revive. Just another way to feed the addiction????

Happy Shooting....and collecting!!!!
