Changing of the Guard....May 1st
« on: April 11, 2010, 03:07:26 PM »

As many of you know Ed aka Shadow has been here at my home for a couple weeks now. Working in the shop with me. It is no secret that Ed tunes springers and has for a few years now. We became close friends just after Bob and I opened the doors to the GTA. Ed and I have shared much air gun knowledge over the years. In fact Ed helped me with my first B-3 tune..:) And he has tuned quite a few springers since then.

Starting May 1st I am referring all my request for tunes over to Ed. He will be picking up where I leave off. I may still do some tunes but will be very selective. From May 1st until July 15th I will be on holiday and playing with my own guns again...:)

Last but not least, Ed has the right qualities for taking over and expanding his career as a springer tuner. Great attitude, character and honesty..

So Good Luck Ed and enjoy what we have shared together for years...:)

THE ONES I SLEEP WITH: BSA Lightning XL, AA TX-200, AA ProSport, BSA Ultra, HW-97K, Crosman NPSS .177, FX Cyclone, HW-30 Nicle Plated, AA-S200, Crosman Marauder, CZ-634, R-9 DG, Webley/Scott UK Tomahawk, Benji Kantana, Benji Marauder, Benji Discovery.....

I also had the pleasure of meeting and hanging with another GTA brother down here, Tommy Cupples aka TCUP. I will be posting my adventures down here with the brothers along with some pic's when I return to MI., bummer I have to go home hehehe. Ed

Congratulations to both of you!  It was good to finally meet you in person and have the chance to hang out for a weekend, Ed.  Best wishes for great success both in your new airgun tuning business and in your Custom Camo Designs work.  Members will have a unique opportunity to have both a custom tune and camo job if they choose.  Good news for the hunters -- bad news for the critters.  I know Gene will be looking forward to some time off and a chance to "dig out" from the pile of stuff in his office.  Again, congratulations to both of you.

WOW that was unexpected LOL!!!

That being said I think its a shame that your not going to be doing as much work Gene! Bet there is going to be alot of sad people!! On the other hand If you didn't feel Ed was up to the job I am pretty sure you wouldn't be sending the work his way so Ed must be more then capable of doing an excellent job!!!!!

Gene congrats on the semi-retirement :)

Ed, HEHEH I gotta feeling your gonna get BUSY BUSY!!!!!!! and I am not sure if I envy you or feel sorry for you :)

Ed,

I Wish you the very BEST !!!!! I know that you will be carrying on the fine tradition of AirGun Tuning ! I hope that this will not interfere to much with your hunting brother :) But it will give the critters a chance to repopulate up there :)

And Gene, I Wish you an enjoyable rest, you deserve it, you have been working way too hard :o

Gene,

Guess you will have all the time to shoot all those rifles you've squirreled away.  We want to hear detailed reports on each and every one.  Looks like you've picked a good successor in Ed.  Someday I'll have to take that couple hour drive up to see Ed.  Maybe he'll even divulge a Gene and Bob secret or two?

Best of luck to you and Ed on your new endeavors!

Congrats Ed, Gene couldn't have handed the reins over to a better man !!

Gene, congrats on the "semi retirement", I'm glad you're finally going to have the time to play with all those shooters of yours  :)

Congrats on your business expansion ED. I wonder how much time you'll have to do your fantastic camo jobs now that your tunning business will pick up dramatically. Guess you won't get board. hehehe

Gene looks like now you and Bob will actually have time to shoot, hunt and do a little fishn' together. Thanks for all you've done for the Airgun community!!!!!
