I count abt 50% bulls, not bad execution there Tony.  Them dadgummed "8's sure put a hurtin' on a score.

Spent the day raking and burning, mowed y'day and church dinner "on the grounds" as they say, tomorrow.  About the next best thing to shooting is eating some goooood chow.  Hope to try this tomorrow.  Shot some groups last week with the R1 but seems no matter what, it was 7/8" best for 10 shots and that was done with two brands of pellets.  It didn't like the other two I tried.  That leaves a lot to be desired when the bull is 1/2".  Hope I have the time and energy to get the BR gear out.  Need to use wind flags or else just whistling in the wind considering the mv is over 20% less than a sub sonic match .22 and the weight is only 20% of same...............giving away an awful lot to physical forces and that is even before you factor in the precipitous velocity drop with the wadcutter style.  I don't have anything else to try being geared up for 10m pistol and rifle.  Call me a whambulance, eh?
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery.  Hit the target!  All else is twaddle.

...... And Jeff makes his VERY uneventful return to the springer match....

Not even sure I scored it right... kinda lost interest :-)
Gun shoots fine but doesn't like a bench rest much, 2 weeks old and already killed a proven scope!!

Weapon:   BSA Lightening XL Centerpoint 4-16x40
Pellet:   CPH .177
Dist/Pos:   30y front rest
Score   133 1x

JQR, that looks like the kind of shooting I was getting shooting my Gamo Viper with CPHPs until I changed over to the heavier (More consistant (?)) Kodiaks.  I think I was getting 3 flyers out of 10 shots.  It drove me nuts....
