PROSPORT VS SCOPES
« on: April 14, 2010, 10:13:08 AM »
OK,  my Mueller(springer rated) 4X16X50 that I wanted to put on my ProSport will not clear. I had that 3X9X40 CP that came on my Trail NP,and it fits perfectly and my new PS shot a tiny touching group right out of the box.  Question is will the PS eat a non airgun rated scope? It really feels like a soft recoil, and I have a nice Leupold that would fit, but I don't want to kill it. My old eyes require magnification so any recommendations on a 6X20X40 that will work would be appreciated. Regards

My understanding is the Leupold scopes are all springer-rated, they are that well built. Call them first, but I will bet that is the case.

Jim, Redfeather speaketh the truth on those Leupolds. They are all lifetime warrantied. If you are looking for an awesome 6.5X20X40AO, Leupold has an extended focus range model that would really compliment your ProSport. Get it either with fine crosshair or target dot. They aren't cheap but there is one listed for below retail on Brad's classifieds. A couple years ago Midway and others ran a promotion on that scope for $529.They sell today for about $750.

Well, it is good news about my old Leupold as the last thing that I need to do after squandering some of my Son's inheritance on the ProSport is to buy anything LOL. Regards to all, and thanks as usual for the guidance. I'll do a review on the AAPS after I get some range time.
