CO2 fire extinguisher to fill from?
« on: April 16, 2010, 07:54:39 AM »
Would it be possible to fill my bulked QB 78 from a CO2 extinguisher?  I am looking for something less costly than 88 gram cartridges.  It is a long way to paintball store or a place to fill a scuba tank.

Yes if you get the right fittings.

Ron, I don't know where you are in Arkansas but here in West Tennessee I happened to visit with the local Pepsi distributor and found that they had a whole pallet of CO2 tanks just laying around.  It was the kind they use for soda fill fountains.  They also fill their own CO2 so with just a little friendly chatter, I was offered a full tank that they would fill for me!  That might be an avenue you could check where you are.  Let us know how it works out!
