Marauder and FX Whisper 0.22 questions please

I'm getting close to buying my 1st PCP.  It may be either the Marauder or the FX Whisper in 0.22.  The questions are:

1- Can I still get the Whisper for $599.99, are they available or have to wait?
2- What are the best pellets in 0.22 for either the Marauder or the Whisper?
3-Any issues with the Whisper that I need to learn about?
4-Any suggestions?

I will be using hand pump to fill up the gun.  I have no any experience with PCP's.  Thanks...Sammy

1. yes still 599. don't know if in stock at Aoa
2. JSB 18.1 gr are loved by almost everyone in almost all 22 rifles. have heard alot of positive reviews for the CPHP (box not tin) in the Marauder.
3. Whisper has no issues or problems, excellent quality and performance as with all FX guns
4. Just know the 599 whisper comes with the shorter air tube and no baffles (still pretty quiet), it does come with the smooth twist though.

Thanks illwill but excuse my ignorance, why does'nt the FX whisper come with baffles?  I thought the whole concept behind the whisper is, well to be a whisper.  What does "smooth twist" mean and who does it affect the rifle?  Thanks...Sam

No problem, ask and learn, that is the way to do it.

For some reason the new version of the whisper does not have baffles. Some have speculated these are a U.S. version only that maybe they are doing it because of the
ambiguous moderator laws here. I really don't know for sure.  The gun is still very quiet, but not as quiet as the Marauder.

The smooth twist barrel is a new offering of a old concept of only rifling the last part of the barrel. It is supposed to be more accurate than any other barrel. They are very new,
but all reviews so far have been very very positive. There are some posts on the yellow forum about it if you want to read up on them.
