The Norica Quick and Hammerli Nova are the same gun. They are both direct sear. You could try stoning and polishing the sear on the Quick and come up with fine results. A little lube may also do the trick.

Thank you for the quick reply.
What lube would you use a graphite or a grease?

I like dry lubes for these parts graphites, silicones etc or light oils with maybe one of the formentioned additives....... just remember dont use lubes on any of the actual contact points.... just use them on pivot points/sides/places that rub... the sear and trigger faces should not be lubed you dont actually want them slippery as it can easily lead to unsafe conditions

Michael is right. Use a light oil or moly on the pivots and you should be ok. The trigger will lighten up over time. You could use a hard Arkansas stone to do a little polishing on the sear face to speed up the break in process. Be careful though. A little goes a long wsy.

Hi Anton, not 100% sure who makes the hammerli now (maybe someone else knows?)  but i believe Umarexusa import them and may sell parts and pieces if you need any that is... they have always been very helpful to me:) I would work on what you have as a start:) Tony.

I am going to try and polish the sear first.  As always you get first class advice here.
