Tactical Air Gun Collection
« on: April 19, 2010, 04:53:05 PM »

Howdy!

I took the kids out to Camp Far West (BEALE AFB - Norther CA) this Saturday morning.  We took our whole arsenal of TACTICAL airguns for some Target Shooting. Attached is a picture that my son Eric took using his cell phone.

The rifles from left to right are:
2 Crossman Nightstalkers .177 Caliber
Norica Goliath 88 Carbine .22 Caliber

The Pistols from left to right are:
Magnum Research Desert Eagle .177 Caliber by Umarex
Walther Nighthawk .177 Caliber .177 Caliber
Gamo PT-80 .177 Caliber

We had a great time shooting, taking turns as spotters/snipers while dialing our scopes and red-dot sights.  Weather was overcast but very little rain on Saturday.  The lake was beautiful.  Lots of wildlife...

Now, if some could just tell me WHERE I CAN HUNT RABBIT up near Lincoln CA?

Just in case you are wondering... My Norica Goliath 88 Carbine is easily getting 800 FPS with a lighter grain .22 caliber PBA pellet, and between 725-750 fps with a heavier grain.

The Predator Polymag pellet screams out of the barrel, and RWS Super-H-Point pellets really fly out of this gun too, with tremendous knock-down power; and very (very) accurate.

Both my son and I can easily hit a shotgun shell at 40 yards away simply with a dialed in red dot sight.  If you like plinking, I recommend it.  I intend to use it for Hunting Turkey in CA (YUP! In CA you can take turkey using an Air Rifle so long as it’s .22 caliber)

But this year for Turkey I am seriously considering going with the Remington NPSS in .22 caliber.  As soon as I can get one!

Hi Bill, this site is amazing.  I've been searching for an AG site for months.  Somehow this site has eluded me.

Welcome Anthony, glad you found us. Good to have you aboard with all us airgun junkies. Yes, very nice collection you have there. I'm partial to tactical and military firearms but haven't added too many to my AG collection YET. My only tactical style is my QB57 project gun below. Have a few powder burners though. Post often and post pictures. We enjoy reading and seeing pictures of your AG adventures.

Welcome and Happy Shooting!!!!

HeeHee...thanks, I think.

Not a concept but a modded version. You can get one of these suitcase guns from Steve Archer @ Archer Airguns here.[/b][/i] I just dolled it up to my liking. Do a search in The Shop forum for QB57 and you will find one that big boss man Gene did that got me started doing mine. You can get this one in .177 or .22 and can actually buy both barrel and handguard assemblies and swap calibers in a few seconds. Spins off like the barrel assembly of an Uzi.

Here's the steps I performed to get it where I wanted. Here.[/b][/i]

Those Nightstalkers are nice, but what you really need is a Drozd BB with all the mods  :emoticon:
If some is good and more is better - then too much is just right.
