A ? about distance for shots

I'm new & most likely posting this on wrong page,but do you all measure from shooter's stance(as in comp.) or from end of weapon's point when on a bench?

NRA Rules that the distance must be measured from the front of the firing line, and the shooter and the weapon must be behind that firing line !



With that being said, in the forums matches, do the best that you can !!!! What's a few inches among friends !!!!! These are friendly, honor matches.
