A simple aluminum brake for my S1K - W/Pic
« on: April 26, 2007, 05:29:45 AM »
After picking up some 3/4" aluminum bar I made a muzzle brake for one of my S1K's...:) It is vented along both sides. Is approximatly 5" long. The brake extends past the end of the barrel by 2 1/2', which really made it alot easier to cock..:) Although that was not my objective it worked out ok..

Wow! That looks nice!

How'd you mill the slot? Just kept drillin then went at it with a file? Or did you already get your mill?

LOL Sam, Mill is on the way.. hehe.. I just drilled 4 holes. Made a fixture to hook up to lathe and used the lathe left and right wheel to put the slots in. Way to much work but it came out clean.. A mill would do a much more efficient job in less time.. hehe..

Thanks
