Additional Squirrels
« on: April 26, 2007, 01:57:20 PM »
I had another good day shooting three squirrels today.  That brings the total to 37 for the year.  I shot these with my Benjamin 392 and JSW Predator pellets.

Hey John,

Good shots!.....but a poor math reference.

When you've REDUCED their numbers,
they're called SUBTRACTIONAL squirrels!!

Very nice shooting John.  Pics are great too.

The first pic looks like a "youngin".  I have a couple of young ones hanging around my feeders, I'll leave em alone for now but if they start doing any damage they'll wind up as stew  :)

Could be "Additional DEAD squirrels", that would be ok....or perhaps "Additional squirrels x= -1"?  Or maybe just,"Look, dead squirrels"?

Hehe, I think I had too much coffee tonight:)

Again John, nice shootin (shot placement). Dont harvest all of them though, leave some to keep your hunting area active:). I've been selective harvesting around my place, only when their chewing on the wife's bird feeder's hehe. I've also noticed a bunch of babies running around, to small for shootin and cookin. Do you eat what you harvest?.Ed

Ed,

I don't eat what I harvest.  My motive is to keep them out of my attic.  A few years ago they got in my neighbors attic and I thought they will never get into mine.  Then about 1 1/2 years ago they got into my attic and I paid a company $300 to get them out of the attic.  At that point I declared war on them.  If I can help it, they will not get in my attic again.

I have a friend who lives about 10 miles from me and they got in his attic a few years ago.  They were getting in behind the gutter.  He put a wire mesh up under the shingles and stretched it over the front of the gutter and that kept them out.  Then a couple of weeks ago he heard them in his attic again and went looking to find their entrance.  He found six places on his roof where they had chewed through the singles and the wood to gain entry.  Like me, he then declared war on them.  He bought a Gamo Shadow and is sending it to Charliedatuna for a tune.  He is then going to join the hunt and do his best to keep them out of his attic again.

So maybe that was a long answer, but I have decided they are not getting in my attic again and shooting them is the 100% certain way to do it.

John
