A little something
« on: April 28, 2010, 11:53:20 AM »
Well last night's hunt was slow except for a Skunk so I was finishing up a tune and getting the gear together for tonight's hunt when I looked out my shop and to my surprised spotted this fella on one of the Wife's bird feeder's. :0 This is the first one that I've seen in my yard in age's they just don't land here do to the short life span here hehe. I always keep one of my 2240's out in the shop just for moment's like this so I switched on the Red Dot scope and eased around the side of the door. He was simply unaware of the 2240 locked onto him and then the CPHP hitting him in the back. He dropped like a stone from the feeder with not even a wing twitch, 16yrd's from the shop door to the feeder. Just a little something to prime me for tonight I guess hehe and hopefully I'll get some action tonight but it's still nice just to get out and the season is still young. :)

Thanks brothers and the bird that I dropped is a Brown headed cowbird, they do hang with the Grackles though. The bird in the top left is the cowbird and the common Grackle below. Ed
