MY TRIP TO ALBERTA
« on: April 28, 2010, 11:54:22 AM »
It was my first time being out west and I really enjoyed it.  Saw lots of nice country and did a ton of shooting.  Shot roughly 800 gophers within the 7 days.  I also shot a badger, which really pleased the landowner(it weighed 24 lbs).  I did most of the shooting with my Browning T-bolt .17hmr but shot quite a few gophers with my Benjamin Discovery and Predator pellets.  ( gophers: pelletgun - 5 to 50yard shots / T-bolt - 20 to 150yard shots   badger: 60yard shot )  After the week of shooting we drove through some of the Rocky Mountains.(Jasper and Banff)  It is absolutely beautiful there.  I saw bighorn sheep, elk and deer.  I had an awesome time and thought I'd share some of the pictures I took while on the trip.

I had a look through the posts I missed while I was gone - good shooting guys!!

Outstanding shooting and pic's bro, stack of Gophers for sure. The Badger harvest is a big bonus considering that they can be scary critters to deal with. It truly look's you had a great time up there and the pic's tell the tail. :) Ed

Wow.....800 gophers.....that's outstanding.  I think that's the first badger shown here....too bad it wasn't an airgun kill.  Great shooting and photos.

Wow, that's alot of critters. Great shooting Brian !!!  I think I'd be cross-eyed after looking through a scope that many times in a week. :D

And what a great trip through some really beautiful country out there.

Great shooting Brian!  You are one lucky man that you were given an opportunity to "clean up house" of all the gophers.

That's is some beautiful country there and that's one big badger :)  Nice shot placement and great pics!!
