Big Cat 1200, plastic bull barrel, with steel liner.  i'm having scope issues, and worried its the barrel, it locks up exceptionally tight, could this be barrel droop, and how can i check for this?  are there any full steel barrels available for these???
Gamo Big Cat 1200 .177  only shoot 2 pellets, PREDATOR POLYMAGS and CPHPS

HEY BIG BLOCK , USE A STEEL RULE OR A SQAURE TOO CHECK IF BARRELL IS BOWED,with thin liner like this it is easy to bend if need be & could have been bent in shipping or hard closeing,I to would like too find a steel barrell if any out there?

The spring in the mostly plastic big cat is too powerful for accurate shots.  What I do is leave the big cat cocked for several minutes before firing, to weaken the spring.  I've read about leaving springers cocked overnight or longer to weaken the spring for good, but only try this if you don't mind possibly breaking the spring.

As Jay mentioned check the barrel with a square  and your best bet for a steel barrel is to look for a older Gamo in the Classifieds and use it for a donor, spare part. As far as the mainspring's go the springs are the same in the Gamo mid power shooters, ShadowSport, BigCat,Viper etc. etc. and not that their too powerful but taking the power on hand and taming it to be a smoother cycling airgun , tuning it. I have a Gamo Hunter Extreme.22 a Magnum airgun that shoot's great, got the mag power but it's power that doesn't jump the shooter out of your hands.Ed
