Exchanged the CenterPoint 4x16x40 at Wally World. Use it on my Gamo CFX'S without problems. Did not replace the scope on the Walther Talon yet.

I'd be curious to know what you choose for the Talon...that's a scope killer for sure.

Broke one Centerpoint 3-9X40 and a Leapers 3-9X40. The Leapers scope had a lense crack after 20 shots on a Trail NP.

Rich,

Both of these on a gas ram 22 Whisper.

A Gamo 3-9 - the crosshairs rotate clockwise with each shot.

A  Leapers Accushot 3-12X44  mini swat - won't hold POA for more than 2-3 shots, and won't stay in parralex for more than one shot, turret locks won't stay locked without over-tightening to the point of changing the POI.

Notice how often Leapers comes up here in the discussion! I'm not sure who makes those for Gamo, but my guess is Gamo doesn't make them...

A BSA 2-7x44 mounted on an RWS Meisterschutz Pro.177.The entire front bell fell off.It wasn't exactly broken, per se, so I screwed it back in place and it's now on my TF89. So far, it's holding.

Thebookdoc, I broke the Banner 3x9-40mm while it was on a Gamo Big Cat. That Banner is probably the 2nd lowest level Banner.....I think Walmart have the lowest level Banner.

How are you judging 'lowest level' banner? I agree completely there are better and worse baners -- some are awesome...but interested as to how you are achieving a grade.

Thanks!

I like the banners. I have several myself. but not all were made for airguns...in fact few were!

In this day of cheap scopes poring out of China, my guess is that Gamo can't make them for what little it would cost they to import scopes  from China.

I'd like to know who makes the 3-9 AO CenterPoints that are on the Trail XL's ? They look more like a Hawk Airmax than any other scope brand.

As I mentioned...it wasn't exactly broken. That's as close as I've had to a broken scope.

I'm really impressed with my Bannrer 4x12x40. It has eaten about 7000 shots without a problem, and it is compact.  I'm looking at a Bushnell Trophy 4x12x40 as my next scope to replace the centerpoint that goes on my 177 CFX. The trophy is also a compact scope.

The one I got was from Ganders or D icks sport store....so I'm assuming they're abit of a higher quality than the Walmart scopes....even though they're both called "Banner".

Mine was a basic 3X9-40mm Banner....no AO and/or IR.  I've other Banners that have AO, IR and one with AO and IR (If I remember correctly)....so I'm assuming those latter ones are abit of a higher quality.
