That's a shame, Mark, and it does sound like a replacement is the way to go. They are really great guns and this is not the normal experience.

I see a  pattern. Didn't you also buy a Beeman R7 weeks ago and returned it?  What company is letting you return these rifles?

well first  off the R7 is a toy gun with no power  I thought it might do better than it did on power but it didn't so it went back very un happy with it! The 34 has some real problems so thats a no brainer, I don't waist my time on airguns that don't work for me I have money to spend right now on this hobby not time to waist with guns I'm not happy with I own alot of Hi dollar AG's and I do work on them myself and I know what works for me the R7 didn't and the 34 is also new and is easier to send it back than fool with it any further let umerex fix it I didn't spend money on a new AG to have to make it work out of the box, even tho I did everything I know to do to keep from sending it back, if I buy something new it had better work to my expectations or it will get returned money is tight and time is short and I know when the turd can't be polished any further

First off Mark, the Beeman R7 is no toy gun.  With that statement it tells me how little you know about airguns.

Second, If you were looking for power... RWS 34 will fall short too.

Save yourself some headaches and money, do some research.

Good luck.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you with my statement about the R7, most creditable airgun dealers have a 30 day return policy for what ever reason and if yo don't like is one of them, I also have a power range I like my guns to shoot and the R7 doesn't fall into range. a minum of 650fps I find suitable for most cals for shooting out to 50yds or so and beyond and the 34 will more than do what I want it to do this one chronied a 715fps ave it just doesn't shoot straight and my knowledge of airguns my quite suprise you I've only been shooting them for 40yrs and smithin on guns for 35yrs I've just never owned an R7 and was quite disapointed in the results of that gun.
