GAMO CF-X Lothar Walther barrels etc.
« on: May 01, 2010, 10:31:48 AM »
Hello to all this is my first post.
Does anyone know of a company/gunsmith that can machine and install a LW barrel on my CFX? It seems that I Can source the barrel from Lothar Walther direct but they are blanks and I assume that they would need to be threaded, squared, cut to size and crowned. I would also need a custom brake to retain the cocking arm latch I don't really want to spend an arm and a leg either.  Like most things I own especially in the gun department i am not completely happy with it until it has all the bells and whistles.

 So in short I need:

1. Someone to machine a LW barrel and install on a GAMO CFX
2. A muzzle brake that retains factory latching characteristics or Ideas for a homebrew version
3. THE BEST ADJUSTABLE SCOPE MOUNTS OR ADJUSTABLE RINGS windage&elevation (capable of withstanding a gas ram)

ANY ADVISE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Gamo CF-X Specs:
Air Venturi Gas Ram, Centerpoint 4-16x 40mm scope, accushot one piece med. scope mount
GRT-II trigger, Tesla Seal, Custom painted stock w/adjustable Recoil pad and a bipod

funny thing here..I will be doing the exact same thing to my cfx. the barrel is on it's way should be here in two weeks or so and I have machined out the muzzle break already. I have made a few practice runs on the old barrel and found it to be pretty easy to duplicate the fit of the barrel.
