For you Night Patrol hunters

I never knew that you could call raccoons! This looks like a complete blast! Since I squirrel hunt so much I see trees all of the time that would work for this. While I was on a conference call today I downloaded coon sounds for my e-caller...:)

No call's for me just hunker down and wait since the trail's that I hang by are the critters highway.I do use some stationary lighting to light the trail 25yrds away from my hide but it's pitch black out there at night and I would hate to be calling critters in and have em come up on me in the dark. :o  :0 Ed

Me hunting or me rolling around with a critter that got a jump on me from the dark lol lol. That's why I have a big ol hunting blade strapped to my side when I'm out there, might be a hand to critter fight. :o Ed

I think I have that podcast.  It is where I learned about it.  Thanks for the linkage though!  I should have posted that one up too.  I can't wait to try it in the fall!

Yeah coons aren't nice critters to mess with.. rabbits on the other hand you can scare and they'll fall over dead... coons are mean little buggers.. Once i trapped a coon (well i normally do, but this time it was different) and my 22 get a very bad jam in it, so i had to use the butt of the stock for...well you all know.. well about 2 miles down the road the coon, while i was carrying it, decided it was time to wake up from that bad headach, nothing like having a very PO'd coon on your back when it's alive, and your holding it by it's tail... i dont know who was the most surprised.. me or the coon, i also dont know who jumped the higest, as we both realized that a critter was hanging on to ourself at the same time
Yeah coons are mean little critters,, will have no problem squaring off with a red fox in needed, they also have no problem squaring off with 2 170+lb people in a tool shed
