Sure wish James Manou had been reading my first post a yeara and half ago about my Cometa not cocking..:) I could find no one here in the Continental US that had parts, So I ended up buying a new trigger assy from Chambers in the UK. If they are going to sell the Cometa here in the US we need a link in order to order parts or send them in for warrantee when we have problems.

Anyway I want to thank James Manou for stoppoing by and reading our forums.

I purchased my rifle from Joe Lamonica, Ronkonkoma NY last July when he was selling them. I don't know what happended to him. I did mention to him the problem as it started just after receiving it. He told me about the trigger pull reset. A year and a half ago the Manou Bros were not selling them. But recently it started acting up on almost every cocking effort and that is when I posted for a fix. I removed the stock and noticed the trigger was very dry. I lightly oiled it but that did not help. That is all I did to it, did not take it apart or anything like that. So I posted to see if I could get some good advise.... Frank

They are the exclusive distributor of COMETA airguns in the USA. Here is a link. http://www.manoubros.com/?page_id=2

James Manou has shown a lot of interest in the Cometa reputation and may be able to help you out. I also had good luck corresponding with Cometa directly, in Spain, via their website. I exchanged emails with them before either Joe or James were involved (to get some springs and seals) and they communicated in excellent English and were very helpful.

Let us know what happens, please.

For the RWS94. The RWS version of the Cometa Fenix 400 had softer steel springs than what they use now, and would relax over time. I had them ship a half dozen or so to an associate in Madrid, and he brought them over to a trade show. They were very reasonably priced, and they chucked a few seals in the bag (even though I hadn't requested them). I think I sent a couple to other GTA members who had the need.

I really don't need more springers, but "someday" I will thin the herd a little and get either a Fusion or a Compact Star. I just love the looks of those guns! I am also very eager to see what they introduce this summer in PCP.

Yes T.W. Chambers carries allot of older and newer air gun parts. But if Manou Bros. will sell the parts that is even better..:)

fnash im happy to know there helping you but as for me im on my own hopefully my trusted friend i have will help me as soon he comes back from vacation and that is to change the trigger and matter as well tune it up also until then i think that if there are problems all over about the same problem we should be given help by the company .Its a recall thats needed or was all airrifles sent to joe/cuz was messed cause joe being my friend and a freiend to many here wouldnt sell damaged airrifles ,anyway where ever the problem came from had to be from the shop itself and not the seller, the manou brothers should at least help the rest of us that have the same problem cause i did buy one and one im waiting for ,i have a fenix400.22 cabrina, and fusion .22 in brown wood ,i love these airrifles and would nt mind buying the compact star .22 which are beautiful ,anyway at least they are taking care of fnash and that was very nice of them .Thanks to them u are happy once again cool ...God Bless Us All ...jorge

Jorge, there does seem to be others that have the same problem. There was a statement  that the thought was there was a batch of bad triggers. Joe/Cuz from whom I purchased mine was not aware of any problem I am sure. He has seemed to have dropped out of the picture. It will be a couple of weeks before I get it back and will post the results... Frank
