Welcome to the forum.

Muzzlebrakes are not illegal here.  Neither are MuzzleBrakes if you have a Federal tax stamp for one.  I have muzzlebrakes on my AR-15 and Browning A-Bolt rifle (what they call the B.O.S.S. - Ballistic Optimizing Shooting System).

I retract my statement regarding muzzlebrakes, for where you are.  I believe that MuzzleBrakes are perfectly legal over there, no?

My self-tuned Crosman NPSS with a replacement gas ram (revision B) is shooting H&N Hollow Point pellets at over 800 fps and grouping 1.5" at 65 yards.  Crosman has been very responsive to my needs with regard to getting replacement parts to me.  For their customer service alone, I'd get another Crosman/Benjamin Sheridan airgun in a heartbeat, if I had the money.

I know that they want you to have a MuzzleBrake on your rifle so as to not alarm your neighbors if you're hunting or plinking.

Shrouded barrels are legal but you are not going to get away with any form of muzzle brake even on an airgun. Same with mounting night optics. Their reasoning is that you automatically change the character of the gun to that of someone without good intentions seeing you could not possibly have any reason to silence your gun or to shoot at night. Also any form of hunting with airguns (even if you have a hunting license)  is prohibited regardless of the caliber of the gun or the power at which it fires. Furthermore any form of pest control using an airgun or any weapon of any kind be it a blowgun, a bow, a crossbow an airgun or a slingshot is illegal. Slingshots are illegal either way not even allowed to have them :p. We are also not allowed to have tazers, mace or batons they are all classified as illegal weapons. I've done some extensive reading on Belgian law the past week it's quite sad really. Anyone want to offer me a job so I can get a greencard :p ??!

I'd have to find a job myself.  I've been unemployed for almost 17 months and the only things that are keeping me sane are shooting my airguns and my bows, in between looking for work.  The guns laws over there are getting worse and worse, and this current "President" (and I use that term loosely, because I don't think he's legit), is trying to turn US into Europe.  Good thing he's going to be put on trial tomorrow in NYC for treason, fraud, etc.: http://www.examiner.com/x-37620-Conservative-Examiner~y2010m5d13-Mannings-trial-of-the-century-of-Obama-begins-tomorrow
