454 Big Block Chevy
« on: May 14, 2010, 01:06:35 AM »

Hey Edward. you still working the hills and mountains of some distant foreign land or are you back in "The World"? Last we heard, and that was a while back, you had gotten permission to eliminate those pesky jacks and jackels that were setting off your perimeter alarms. We have been waiting with GREAT anticipation for some photos of your adventures.

Again, THANK YOU for your service to our great nation. Stay safe, keep your head down and eyes open and of course.....

Happy Shooting!!!!

Dave

Hey Dave!

I do have some pictures... but because we were shooting the Golden Jackels on the flightline, in a warzone.. they wouldn't allow us to take pictures.  I tried a few times to get permission, and once it was granted for a single day... and we did not see anything.  However, we were trapping them, and shooting them point blank with a RWS 48 i believe (Side Lever .22 cal) and it was doing a fine job of dispatching them.  so most of my pictures were of the crappy Humvee i was driving, me in battle rattle, and my crappy dorm room.  but i am home!!!  Thanks for looking out for me sir!  Also, i just reenlisted for another 4 years and have gotten notification that i am off to head to Georgia... Making the long drive from Las Vegas NV, to Macon GA, by way of HW 40, from NV to Nashville, then south.  Fun stuff with a 2 year old child and a yellow lab...

Good deal Ed. Glad you're safely back on home turf. You headed to Robins? Hey, just wave as you pass by on I-40. I'm between Memphis and Nash-Vegas.

I know the feeling of the trip. Been there, done that. Wife, two kids and a blonde Lab. Cross country a few times in my career. Finished mine off in Wichita, stayed out there for a few years before finally coming home to roost. LOL

Congrats on the re-up. Hope you have a productive and enjoyable career!!!!!!

Welcome home and Happy Shooting!!!!

Dave

Worked on the Spectre birds in Thailand. Saw one on the tarmack inKunsan as we were passing through. Thought, MAN, what a suicide mission riding one of those. Boy was I wrong. Those bad boys pack a PUNCH. And if you see one of those circling overhead (and most enemy do not), there ain't no getting away from them. Slow but deadly, kinda like an A-10A Warthog.

Might be able to shake loose here for a meal Ed. Just depends on how the network is cooperating at that given day.

if i had to be a guessing man... i'd say...

69 camaro, 396 with a procharger... but pics aren't clear... either that or a 383 stroker, but looks like a big block to me, at least judging by the size of the valve covers.
