Gunsafes,with NPXL ?
« on: May 15, 2010, 11:51:43 AM »
With the talk about fine oil residue in the new NPXL,what would be the best way to store these guns in a gun safe ,muzzle up or muzzle down?

Actually, opened up, cleaned out, and re-lubed correctly is best.

Then I'd say, stood up on it's butt and let as much of that oil drain out through the cocking rod  slot and the trigger group.

Since oil likes to spread to areas of less, or no oil, you may want to  occationally remove the action from the stock,  wipe down the trigger group and the underside of the reciever to remove as much excess oil as you can so that more oil will wick out of the inside.
