A few words from the NRA Convention, ...
« on: May 16, 2010, 03:40:44 AM »
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate: "Criminals, of course, are to blame for the crime. Anti-Second Amendment gun laws don't affect them. They don't care what kind of laws are passed. When politicians ban guns, all they do is take them away from law-abiding citizens."

"Those left-wing groups are supposed to be so tolerant of everybody's lifestyle, but they're intolerant of our lifestyle."

"In these tea party rallies, you've got these veterans and these grandmas and grandpas. It's so fun to watch how the mainstream media covers these rallies. Some of these reporters are trying to portray us, tea party Americans, as being violent or racist or rednecks. Well, I don't really have a problem with the redneck part of it."

"These animal-rights groups, just to be blunt about them, they're crazy. One of them actually condemned our president last year because our president killed a fly during a nationally televised event. I have a lot of issues with the president, but killing a fly is not one of them."

Actor Chuck Norris: "The Clinton White House was absolutely convinced that pushing gun control would help it politically. ... Then, in the 1994 election, we cleaned their clocks. They didn't even see it coming. Sort of like a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick."

"We should thank the NRA for making the Second Amendment the political powerhouse it is today."

NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre: "We know that every word spoken today and throughout this weekend will be scrutinized by our opponents. Make no mistake, we will never back away from our resolve to defend the rights of all law-abiding gun owners."

Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action: "Too many of the media are part of a systematic effort to dismantle our Second Amendment rights."

N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue, who received a smattering of boos during her recorded remarks: "I really want to thank all of you at the NRA for supporting my campaign for governor."

"We can hunt for anything you want to hunt for here. There's some good hunting to be had. We've got fishing and hunting and NASCAR. So if you're passing through, we'd like for you to stay awhile."

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C.: "History has proven time and time again that strict gun-control laws limit the freedom of all Americans."

Sen. John Thune, R-N.D.: "Right now, the prevailing vision in Washington is of government - more and more government."

John Bolton, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations: "Today we've got a different kind of president. We've got the first post-American president. I didn't say un-American. I didn't say anti-American. They are beyond nationalism. President Obama has just taken it to the next logical step - he's a citizen of the world. He doesn't fundamentally believe in American exceptionalism ... that we are a city on a hill."

Michael Reagan, son of former President Ronald Reagan:

"If you think about the liberals in this country, they are like termites; they are eating away at the foundations of this country every single day."

Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C.: "There's a lot of us that have been raising our hands (in Washington), saying, 'Hey, give us a chance. Let us try.' It's amazing that our country has become so difficult to participate in."

Well John,

Those are very encouraging words being spoken by the NRA and those that hope for OUR VOTES !

But until these politicians can be prosecuted for lying to US, the voters, when the candidates speak, all that I see is that they still have their lips moving ! Until they can be prosecuted for lying to the Voters, their words mean Nothing !!!

I have believed since the beginning, that any effort to ban, register or restrict firearms, that these efforts have been by Socialist Communists, to make the law abiding people of America helpless against their attempts to take over OUR GREAT NATION !!! So look who is a Socialist Communist !

Everyone that has a lick of sense knows that Gun Control Laws do nothing to stop or prevent Crime ! But they do make every American an easy Victim !!!
