Reason I ask is I have my 44th birthday coming up and the wife has asked me what I want.
Well, I have 2 Benjamin Discoveries and 3 Crosman 1377's in different modified forms.
I'm thinking either a gas ram springer or maybe a Co2 action pistol like the Walther C99 custom.
I need other ideas cause frankly, I've looked at all the airgun dealer websites until I'm crosseyed!!!!!!
Thanks
Ray

How about a Benjamin Trail NP laminated wood or a BAM B40 airgun. :)

Depends on what your doing with it.

Targets and small pests I'd go with one of the rws 34 pro models.

For whacking big pest and less targets I'd go with the trail npxl in 22. Man I am waiting for that one to come out in the laminated blue stock. Wouldent hesitate if they had it like that now.

I bought a tuned Cometa Fusion Star from Gene for $270, so if I had $300, that would be $270 of it and the other $30 would be pellets. While not everyone can be that lucky, I think I'd take 2 guns...A Cometa Fenix/RWS94 for under $150 AND a TF89 for under $150. OR I would take either of those and have it tuned. That's a few good options!
THE GUNS:
â€¢ Cometa Fusion Star (Gene tuned) 12/10/09
     â€¢ Cometa Fenix RWS 94 2/8/10
     â€¢ RWS Diana 48 .177 1/8/10 [TRADE for RWS 350]
     â€¢ Walther Force 1000 .177 11/11/09
     â€¢ TF89 .22 10/26/09 (Gene tuned 1/6/10)
     â€¢ TF89 .177 (Gene tuned) 9/6/09
     â€¢ Remington Vantage 1200 .177 8/22/09 (Gene tuned 1/6/10)
     â€¢ Daisy 953 (pneumatic) 8/02/08
â€¢ Gamo Big Cat 2/5/10 (broken...free...maybe gas piston?!)

THE SCOPES:
     â€¢ Sightron SII 4-16x42 AO
     â€¢ Leupold VX-II 3-9x33 Ultralight EFR AO
     â€¢ Bushnell Trophy 6-18x42 AO
     â€¢ Swift 686 High Recoil 6.5-20x44 AO
â€¢ Hawke Air Max 4-12x40 AO
     â€¢ Bushnell Banner 6-18x50 AO

I've got to say that I'm hooked on the looks of the Cometa air guns!  Whether they shoot well or not I'm not sure, but they just look great!

For $300 I'd side with thebookdoc and get two guns. :P  A TF 89 is a nice gun for the money. I want another one in .177 though I have no real "need" for one.  LOL I said "need" :D

Baikal Drozd for a fun gun, although it get's quite serious if you tune it up a bit (1200rpm, full auto, 800+ fps).
If some is good and more is better - then too much is just right.
FWB-300SU, Drozd Blackbird, Gamo Hunter Sport, AR 1000, Crosman Nightstalker, ZC-4, Webley Tempest ...

I think I'd spend it on a new MM tuned B-40 and a matching scope,,,,, especially since Mike says the B-40 are in very low supply and might not be available soon.....  as we know it's a super target gun but you can also hunt with it if you don't mind the weight.  I've been thinking of ordering one in .22 just to have......

wow i had the same in my mind which i have already b40.22 or a cometa fenix 400.22 or a fusion .22 i have the first two and they are great shooters i cant xcomplain at all so for 300.00 $$ u can get a very decent airrifle .honestly i never spend anymore than 300.00 for any airrifle and i have some decent airrifles with tunes ,thats why the classifieds are available, trades and buying in that section could save you plenty and most members will sell u good ones. The only airrifle i would buy new and spend the money for it would be the rainstorm.22 which me and Gene have in mind since we first saw them.Good Luck on your purchase and i know u will make the right choice ray1377..God Bless Us All...jorge

After looking at the AofA site once again another RWS suggestion. The Model 52 is under $300. The same side cock action as the model 48 and they are very nice shooters. The Model 48 we have is from the 80's and had a Turbo Tune a couple of years ago. Shoots great now and took a lot of birds and pests during the years before the tune.
