Zombie squirrel!

So there I am in my swamp. I walk down from one trail to the opening of the swamp and I get made by a grackle. Then all the grackle spot me. Next thing you know there are about 15 grackles in various trees squeeling and making all kinds of noise. Then I hear something that's not a grackle. Holy crap it's the big fat squirrel that I see everytime I've been down there. He's 25 yards out and about 15 up. I sight him in with the 350. He turns a little and I cansee his face. I set the cross hairs right between his eye and pull the trigger. I hear the smak and an echo in the swamp. The squirrel hit the ground with a thud. Sounded like somebody dropped a bowling ball. I reloaded and approached slowly. He was laying there on the ground. He'll yes my mouth was watering. I reached in to get him and an about 3 ft away when it jumps up and comes to life! It looked at me and squeeled and said I'll rip your arms off! In squirrel language of course. I jumped back and watched it take off like a rocket. I headed back to where I alway see him and he was not there. I snuck down in and heard him in a big tree. I never got another shot or saw him clearly.  Snooped for about an hour but could never get him. Felt like crap cause it got away wounded. Oh well what ya gunna do. Was a solid shot to knock it down and have it layed out till I got there. Will try to be more precise next time.

Yeah you gota watch those critters... them and coons are little tough guys.. i once was running coon dogs, shot a coon about 60 ft up... straight down drop, dropped like all crazyness. i go to to pick it up and it almost bit my hand off!

that stinks, ive had a few squirrels do that on me. its like there stunned for a few minutes then all of a sudden come to life lol
