Crosssman 1322
« on: May 23, 2010, 04:11:57 AM »
Went to my local Air gun Shop to pick up “Annie Oakley” a new back packer forearm for her 1377 that she just had to have. And low and behold there was a 1322 in the display case.

I says to the proprietor “what says you is this”?

 â€œ It a 1322 I took in its $55.00”.

I says to the man “not anymore it’s mine”.

He is going to check it out fix anything that needs fixing. I pick it up Thursday.

We leave on vacation on Friday for two weeks.

Trying to talk Annie Oakley out of going on Vacation I have things to shoot I mean do. Maybe I can get a couple of pellets through it before she makes me go. LOL

The arsenal grows
Two 1377c  1322 And a Gamo socom tactical on the way (miss Annie Oakley) needs a pellet gun with a laser sight) go figure.

So many air guns so little time!

Love the Crosman pump pistols!  Hey - what's an "airgun store"??  Man, I wish we had one of those around here!  We don't even have pawn shops...  Just Walmart, Dicks, and Gander Mountain, and they never have ANYTHING interesting.

Anyway, here's mine:

It's a 1300 Medalist .22; it's not exactly brother or sister to your gun, but it's a very close cousin.
Great shooter, too.

I hope you get to play with the 1322 before vacation!

Air-Venture Airguns in Bellflower Ca..
Gander Mounain?
I uses to go there back home when it was just a little catalog outlet with just the one small store.
They just had a counter and catalog. You would show them in the catalog what you wanted and they would go in the back and get. LOL They started in Wilmont Wis. population 600. Back then

Gander Mountain...

Yeah, they have a huge store here in Indianapolis (Castleton).  Very limited airgun selection (mostly Gamo and Crosman, and not even a full line of either of them).  They're expensive, too.  They add between 20%-50% markup on everything.

For example, a Daisy Red Ryder sells for $48.95  -- not the kit, just the gun.
I pretty much never deal with Gander Mountain, unless I am just bone dry on CO2.

We have a Dick's and Wal-Mart, but that's about it.  There's supposed to be a Bass Pro Shop around here, too, but I've never been.

There's no such thing around here as an "airgun" store.  I guess I could drive over to Ohio to visit Pyramyd...

That’s where I’d go Pyramyd Air If it was less that two miles. But we like to drive I think that comes with old age. The girl friend just order a socom tactical from them. We have a Basspro there are better than most sporting good stores. But they still are lacking in products for airguns.

What you have is room to shoot. Out here in Cal. We have to hide in the back yard to shoot. It a big California Back yard 16’ x 40’ we can just make 10 yards to the target.

That’s a nice looking shooter

I *HAD* room to shoot!

I had[/i]  room to shoot when I lived out in the sticks, then I got married and moved into the suburbs.  Booo...  umm, about the suburbs, I mean.

My backyard is 35 meters long (our lot is like a bowling alley, long and narrow), but I have neighbors on both sides and behind, so I have to be sneaky and discrete, too :).  But I guess I have a little room to shoot at different ranges, at least.

Pyramyd would be a couple hours drive from here, but I keep them busy shipping me stuff :)

Instead of a fence put up a block wall about nine feet high should do it. Tell the wife you will paint it with flowers and trees. LOL

Well we got back from vacation yesterday. I mounted a BSA scope I had on the 1322. Took a long time to get it right with those silly dovetail clamps that clamp the barrel.

Pulled out the pistol rest. Put five pumps in her. Loaded her up with Crossman Premier Ultra Magnum. Set up a 10 meter air gun target at 10 meters. First shot low to the left ½”x ½”. Put a couple of clicks on the windage. Low a ½” dead center. Put a couple of click on the elevation. Next shoot dead center. Took a couple of more shots from the rest.
Beautiful nickel size hole. Took a couple of shots free handed. Beautiful every shot on the paper somewhere! LOL Wiped her down put her in a case to wait for her first showing with the boys.

Well we had the Socom and Titan GP out ripping pellets down range. So I just had to pull out the old 1322 When it happened She died. About twenty, 5-pump shots and that was it. The old 1322 would not pump up. Well off to the shop for a rebuild.

Annie said “more money on that old thing just throw it out.”

That kind of talk will hold up in divorces court won’t it?
I will let her use my couch blanket tonight! LOL
