predator pellets
« on: May 25, 2010, 07:03:31 AM »
I have a weihrauch HW 80 that I guess is pretty hold sensitive I aim for the head and I hit the neck and the squirrel would just run away, that is until I switched to the predator pellets anywhere I hit it from the shoulders up drops it dead in it's tracks without any twitching at all. I should have tried these sooner, I can't wait till they come out in .25 cal.

Yeah, they are pretty good for hunting, but lousy for target practice!  :)

Randy,
I wouldn't say they were lousy - expensive yes, but lousy?  Like wad cutters they leave a nice, clean-edged hole in the cheap computer paper I print my targets on.  For what they cost, it makes me VERY  careful when I aim. :D

And yes, they sure knock the stuffing out of critters !!!!!!!

I meant expensive. :)  I mean the last thing I'd do is sit around and shoot a thousand of them :)

Not a chance of that here, with what it takes to cock the XL ...  my arm would fall off way before that !  :D

I picked up some of these at the Arkansas Air Gun Show. They are supposed to out Predator the Predator. They look promising but I haven't had the time to put them to the test yet.

Yes, Predators are the go to pellet for the big job. However, like everyone says they are to expensive to plink arround with.

Those are probably too heavy for a springer, but they look cool as heck! :)
