Starling Stalk
« on: May 30, 2010, 07:16:26 AM »
I saw this starling feeding down at the far end of our property, so I grabbed the Disco and headed outside.  With a Predator pellet chambered I began my stalk on the yellowbeak.  I put the shop in between us and covered the 80 yards of ground quickly.  As I leaned around the corner of the shop for the shot, the little guy spotted me and took off.  He fluttered a small distance and landed in a tree 40 yards away.  Carefully I lined up the crosshairs on the starlings chest and the shot rang out.  The yellowbeak dropped.
