For starters, I have a .177 Calibre marauder and really like it. Accrate and a good shooting rifle. I also have an Evanix Blizzard in .22 Calibre. Same thing on a higher level. The Evanix has one thing I really like. The side lever cocking action is much smoother and easier than the bolt action cocking of the Marauder.
For those who have tried both, is the FX Cyclone side lever cocking action a lot smoother than the Marauder? I really like having the ability to set the next pellet for firing without moving the rifle from my eye. The Evanix allows this. The Marauder really doesn't due to the design. Maybe it can be done, but not easily by me. So, if you have shot both enough to be at ease with each, is the FX Cyclone - or possibly the FX Whisper easier to shoot and cycle to the next shot without losing the sight picture? I am looking at .177 Calibre and if the options are much smoother(like the Blizzard) I would look to change.
If that happens I will have one nice shooting Marauder up for sale before too long.
