Where the deer and the antelope play
« on: June 03, 2010, 03:37:40 AM »
Hey guys!  Tonight I'm leaving for Kansas for ten days of family fun and hunting!  My wife and I bought an older RV that we now call "The Money Pit" to drive out there. I haven't actually driven out there for over a decade; much preferring to fly!  Anyway, it allows the kiddos to play and sleep while we are on the move.  It also allows the drivers to rotate out and get some decent sleep as well.

The best thing about it is it is pretty large allowing me to carry my hunting stuff with ease!  The bed has a compartment underneath that is perfect fit for my gun cases.  I couldn't decide on which of my air guns to take so I took all of the .22's my TF 89, TF 99, and the "Beast" the RWS 350.

I was out shooting some with the 350 last night and forgot just how hard they can be to shoot. I don't shoot it near as much as I used to preferring the TF99 with its underlever design.  Anyway it was grouping pretty well with the Predator pellets, it is just so sensitive to holds that I fear it won't get that much use out there.

Thanks to Furseeker turning me on the the Varmintal website, I have a couple of nice sets of shooting sticks and an "El Cheap" predator call.  Also along for the trip are my Coyote hunting guns a .223 Handirifle and my Berreta Silver Mallard semi-auto loaded with HeviShot Dead Coyote.  I'm going to put my turkey blind in the car too so that if someone want to go along and observe they can more easily just sit there with me.

Lastly, I have my camera stuff for some pictures!  Hopefully I'll get some good video for you guys!  Anyway I'll keep you informed.  It will probably be Saturday at the earliest that I get to do any hunting.
