Paul Capello and Tom Gaylord On The TX-200
« on: June 03, 2010, 01:40:20 PM »

I always love watching Paul and Tom with the TX - 200 review. These are such beautiful guns and they shoot so very good out of the box. In the video he shows plinking baloons at 100 yards standing.Let me tell you that the TX - 200 is not only a beautiful piece of machinery but it shoots every bit as nice as it looks. For you air gunners that would be the topping on the cake..:)

Dave, Paul does not send the test guns back.. He has an large toy room in his house with dozens of air guns that he has tested and reviewed.

Great rifle, for sure, but not everyone's cup of tea.  I have a TX 200 Mk. III, not a thing wrong with it once I installed a Vortek tune kit, but it just doesn't float my boat.  The weird thing is, I really don't even know why.  I just know that of the 4 rifles I currently have, the TX is the one I'll grab last.  Maybe it's just too pretty for me :-).  Fortunately, a fellow forum member who shall remain nameless has been jonesing for a TX for awhile, so I know it will be going to a good home eventually.  BTW, my R9 is the one I grab first!  Later.

LOL Dave, sometimes for me it is a hard decision also..:) I love my R-9 also and it is super accurate as well. Depends on my mood I guess which one I pick up but my HW-97 is the easiest for me to shoot.

I've got a poor man's TX, a tuned BAM40. I'm sure it is anywhere near an even par with the TX but it sure is surprisingly nice to shoot for a recoiling gun. They say that a well-set-uo B40 is about 80% of the original, so I can only imagine how nice the real McCoys are.

well i didnt have the funds for the real deal but i did manage a tuned b40 with a custom maple stock from howie the trigger pull is very light and the gun looks like a million bucks without the checkering but hey its a maple stock aint too many b40s out there like that so im pleased she aint the real deal but she sure is pretty like the real deal and shoots like the real deal.and she has a nikko stirling 4x12x50  scope
keep your eyes on the prize & dont let it crawl away.
