Jeff,
The 3 Storms I bought from Wally-world last night.....I cleaned #1 up before daylite this morning, sun came up and off to the backyard range. This gun likes almost every heavy pellet that I put thru it. At 17 yards open sights (that's as far as I can see with open irons, old age sux) I was getting groups of 5 shots at 3/4" and slightly less. I thought I had just got lucky and freaked up on a good gun out of the box.....I'm impressed. Back to the shop and open gun #2, clean and clean the barh ditch oil and goo out of it, back to the range. Gun #2, 5 shot groups at 17 yards of 3/4" and less again. Now I'm really impressed. The cocking action on both guns was fairly smooth for stock, the shot cycle was not as bad as most of my Gamos', very minimal dieseling at first this cleared up after about 5 or 6 rounds. The new style trigger as advertised on the box is a lot better than older Crosman and Gamo triggers, is acceptable for break-in period but I gotta contact Bob and get 3 new ones on the way (I'm spoiled to that gold jewel). I thought about giving these as Christmas gifts for my Dad and Brother, I may want to rethink that idea....me like!! Got gun #1 torn down on the bench and started making a new spring guide for it tophat is finished already. Will tune and re-evaluate performance and decide if these are gifts or keepers for my arsenal. May go out and search a couple of the other Wally-world stores in the area for a couple of more bargains, hmmmmmm. Wife is leaving town for a few days today, I seem to wind-up in trouble quite often when left to my own devices, or is that vises? Don't know for sure but it'll be fun to find out I'm sure.
