15 more bite the just
« on: June 05, 2010, 07:04:30 PM »
Hello fellow blood thirsty AR clan.

WadeS and I went back out to our local feedlot this morning, arriving about 8.00 am for a quick hunt.  We ended up using my .22 850 exclusively.  First we shot at the silos, getting a couple quick pigeons and a few starlings.  We then crossed the road to the feedlots.  I ended up driving, slowly, while WadeS had my 850 sticking out the window.  Music on.  We would spot a group of pigeons or see a starling on the ground and we would slowly roll up to within shooting range (65-70 yards).  I'd turn to the left, allowing for a better shot and shut the truckt off.  We did this for 1 hour+ and he got lots of shooting.  We then went back to the silos and scored a few more kills.  In the end we got 7 starlings, 7 pigeons and a crow (65? yards).  Not too bad for 1.5 hours and only one guy shooting.  It has been raining so much lately and there is liquid cow manuer all over, we didn't "wade" to get all of the kills.

Nice hunt guys!!  Wow 65yd shooting with 850's!  Nice shooting!  That's a lot of birds in 1.5hrs.

Yeah I know all about that brown liquid coming out of dead crows, hehehe.  It's easy to get it on you if you don't notice it at first and walk with the crow next to you pants and over your shoes :)
