Hi Jay,
Thanks to your tip I scored one at the Eastgate Wally just outside Cincinnati. The SuperWally just 3 miles from where I live had none. I hope the rifle is worth the 13 mile trip. Let me know what you think of yours. I've read and vrey bad things about this rifle on the web, but at the price I thought I'd bite. Still haven't taken it out of the box yet, but soon.
 Good looking out!

Wally world in my place only have 25% off on RS2, BigCat and the gamo shotgun and some pellets on sale. I bought whats left on their Daisy .22 WC for $1.50 & Crosman Destroyer EX for $2.00. My RS2 & QB78d shoots the Daisy WC good and the Destroyer EX feeds my modded 1377 & QB79 punch really small hole. Just wishing the .22 & .177 CPHP go on sale too. I'm really stack up on ammo and running out of hiding place! I got my RS2 from pyramidair 3 years ago and  modded it, currently using only the .22 for I fine it more smother with that caliber for the .177 is a bit to fast. RS2 can be made a pleasure to shoot when modded and the trigger is super when polished.

Hi guys,
I've been trying to respond back here, but for some reason the site has been hard to load on my PC. Seems to be working OK now. I wanted to tell you that I sorted out a few things with my RS2. First I think I need to really really clean out the .177 barrel and maybe crown it. Second I think I better loctite the scope. Third, I swtiched to the .22 barrel and was I impressed. The .177 shot so low I was shimming the scope, but when I switched to the .22 It shot just a bit higher than my aim point whereas the .177 was shooting eight inches low. I know it's a different trajectory for the pellet (Crosman Prem-round tops), but the rifle is shooting so much more accurately in .22. It's a hard-hitting combo too. I need to go back and deal with the .177 barrel. Any idea why it shoots so consistently low? When I say low I mean it's a serious problem. I was shimming the rear scope mount, and still could not get the scope to match the pellet poi, nor significantly change the poi. Is it possible the barrel is bent? I guess I can lay it on a flat surface and roll it to find that out. Otherwise, the rifle reminds me of my Beeman R1 days, at least in heft, if not in accuracy (that R1 was sick accurate!) Anyway, there it is. All advice wellcome
thanks!

note to self, and to others. I have been mistaken about my rifle. Walmart is not selling the Beeman RS2. It is selling the Beeman model #1073. There seems to be a difference. I found the RS2 over at Pyramid: http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Beeman_RS2_Dual-Caliber_Air_Rifle_Combo/1307#productDescription
I notice the muzzle brake on this rifle, and no open sights. The model 1073 has no muzzle brake, and comes with open sights. Perhaps the big thing for me is that I read somewhere that the RS2 is made in Europe, while the 1073 is made in China. So excuse me, all, for incorrectly identifying my rifle. I finally double-checked the box, and nowhere on there is the model name "RS2" mentioned. The 1073 is an OK rifle; don't get me wrong. I like it. I suppose that's all that matters.

If you also look Quest 1000 at walmart, you will see Storm XT which are same airgun and storm xt is Walmart branded quest as 1073 to RS2. One way to make sure you got an RS2 is look at the trigger guard, if it's rounded it's RS2 2 stage trigger vice RS1 single heavy stage trigger...finally look at the center of the action and if it's marked SPORTSMAN RS2 SERIES it's RS2. I took my ported muzzle brake as pictured in pyramid air for I find it makes the barrel blast more pronounced...meaning not neighbor friendly. I made my own to make her more friendly.

Hi Bentong,
I can feel that my 1073 has a two-stage trigger. It's also marked on the action as Sportsman RS2 Series. But is that telling me that no RS2s were made in Europe? I'm not going to beat a dead horse here. I think i'm doing that well enough in my other thread! :)

When all else is said and done, while I wait on my scope, and new .177 barrel, I'm shooting one-hole groups in .22 with the open sights (which don't show up in the Pyramid ad for the RS2). So it's a keeper. Just trying to get to the bottom of this, more out of curiosity than anything else. Was the RS2 ever made in Germany? Inquiring minds want to know.

BTW, have I seen the muzzle brake you made?

The only guns I know of that are German made are the Weihrauch models. You may be confusing the RS2 for the RX-2(HW90).

Hi Jim,
No, I'm not confused about the RS2 being an RX-2. In fact, having gone to Beeman's website I see that there is nothing in the Sportsman Series folder. Click the icon and see for yourself:   http://www.beeman.com/  In fact it says coming soon. So maybe I'm getting close to solving the riddle. I think I can safely assume, within about 90% certainty, that the RS2 Sportsman Series rifle is made in the factories owned by S/R Industries. That company bought out Beeman, and probably took over the bottom tier market, That might explain why Beeman has so few models to select from these days, and no product listed that SS folder. Here is a review I found (notice the rifle is referred to as a "RS2 Sportsman model 1073"):  http://webpages.charter.net/guru1/reviews/Beeman%20RS2%20review%20v%202.0.pdf

Also, I see a lot of Beeman models ( assumed to be of Chinese manufacture) advertising as have the RS2 trigger. What do I need to know about that trigger that makes it be presented as "preferred" (?). It's a two-stage unit, and feels pretty good on let-off. Nice, actually.

If I want to replace the breech seal with a thicker one from a local hardware store, what spec should I look for?
thanks all!
