Removing Front Sight From S1K
« on: May 12, 2007, 03:25:15 PM »
Been tapping on the front sight of my S1K for 30 minutes with a block of hardwood and a hammer and it's only moved 1/16". Would a little heat help loosen it. Gene said it should come off easily, but......!!!!!!!!!!!!! any ideas?

Yup. Warm it up using a hairdryer (or heatgun - just don't BBQ it!) and it should slide off more easily.
