Am I right in my suspicious?

It’s seems that my new 440 from CobraAirguns was pre-owned. On each of the screws I found traces of Blue Locktight. Am I right in my suspicious?

I thought it's was new. There are no any indications about refurb on their web site.

If that is the case then, I would call them on monday or wedsnday about this. Thats not right and as far as I know no manufacturer uses loctite on new air rifles. But I could be wrong.  So maybe you should wait for more posts on this. CharlieDaTuna would probably know if they use loctite. He takes enough of them apparth..

is common on the Gamo's and is what they use on the fore stock screws, the large trigger screw and on the lug. The is none used on the small trigger screw as it is a wood screw. The stuff they use on the pivot bolt is unknown but what ever it is, it does not let go easily and the bolt is usually damaged if you try to remove it.

What do the traces look like?

In my experience, locktite tends to flake off when removed, the factory stuff that Gamo and others sometimes use tends to remain adhered to the bolt much more effectively.

Odds are, though, Charlie's right...
