Long wait pic of the 2240
« on: May 14, 2007, 11:19:05 AM »
When I perchased the 2240 awhile back from my good friend Gene I didn't plan on any mod's to it, right hehe. After noticing that the grip's were not comfortable at all I decided to make some but had the pleasure of meeting a super guy and he offered to make a set of grip's for the 2240 for me. Bullseye aka (Mike) took on the job of the grip's, we went back and forth with size and style and Mike went to work. When I received my grip's I was surprized when I opened the shipping package, not one but two set of grip's WOW. Mike not only made two set's, he made them with his fantastic skill. The grip's looked great and all I had to do was a little sanding, inletting and stain them. I must let you all know that mike has the wood skill's and I am proud to display his work on my 2240, Big thank's Mike and now for part two.My good friend Gene who has become a GURU with his lathe and while we were chewing the fat we decided that the 2240 needed a brake. Well I'm here to tell you that Gene can spin some sweet brakes for when I opened the shipping package from him I was very impressed. The brake is fantastic, his skill on the lathe shines through in his brake. The brake fit perfectly and the finish was perfect, he spun some groove's and painted em black which really set's the brake and 2240 off. It taper's nicely to the barrel and the set screw snug's it up great. Between THESE TWO GENTLEMEN my 2240 wouldn't be the sweet pistola that she is now. Thank you Gene. I did the trigger polishing, lighter spring, spring guide and trigger shoe and am waiting on a steel breach and red dot scope. If you all are looking for addition's to your babies, we got some guy's right here that can fill your need's. Once again I am proud to display their work on my baby..... ok pic. Ed

Ed, I'm glad that they worked for you, I was a little concerned about the size. The stain chose you made looks good on that wood, I know it looks alot better in person. 8)  Now you nedd to get another pistola for the other set, hehe. 8)  Gene's brake looks sweet on there to, he can do some nice work wit his new toy's. I had the misfortune of looking at my new brake and shroud, with a few too many muscle relaxers and cold bevs, :0  I dropped it, but there will be more about that later. Again your 2240 looks real nice and I'm glad that I could help.
