Seller’s remorse???
« on: May 14, 2007, 02:43:00 PM »
I just spent a lot of time playing with and eventually very successfully tuning
my “other” CFX. Truth is it shoots just as hard and straight as the one Rich tuned for me….. but I’ve sold it.
I started the sale long before the tune was complete and although it was a sweet shooter right out the box,
the tune worked it’s magic and now I kinda regret having sold it.
Sort of mixed feelings…. got a good’ish price for it and it was my first, hopefully of many sales…. But at the
same time it was my first real good tune…. Geeze this addiction is worse than I thought, I’m growing attached
to these rifles now, next, I’ll start giving them names…. Then talking to them…. Aaarrghh!!   :D
I only eat things that had parents.

As a wise stockmaker once told me,"Sell it, you'll make plenty of other cooler things in time".  In other word, you only get better with time:)

I can understand Roald,

While I haven't been "into" air guns quite like the rest of you fellows, I have been shooting both powder burners and air guns since I 6 years of age.

Along the way, I believe we all regret selling some of out beauties, especially the ones we worked hard on. I know I think I did the right thing at the time, but regret it later, sometimes years later, other times only days.

I feel that we shared some good times, and enjoyable moments with these shooters, and now wish we hade them to reminisce those times with them. I have my first 30-06 rifle, and we spent many hours in the field together, we have taken deer, bear, and even ground hog along our way. When I take her out of the safe, I clean her well, and remember fine time together.

I also miss my first Crosman air rifle and air pistol, a 600, with who I first learned shooting technique, and killed my first starling, but still in all I have there memories.

Perhaps we should think twice and sell ounce. :o
