Is there a good source for an inexpesive somewhat generic rubber butt plate anyone has found?  I'm hoping to change out the B'3's and QB78's I have accumulated here.

Cheers
Mark

If you can get your hand's on the older B3' like mine, the butt pad's are rubber, a lot better then the plastic one's. I've Also taken old boot's or shoe's with the black rubber tread's and cut out the pattern of the stock butt . Put a plastic or metal spacer between it and the stock butt, screw's and a couple washer's inset and presto. I would find the rubber bottom's with a neat tread design hehe. Ed

There's GOT to be a bad joke in here somewhere!  Come on, Dan, how can you pass up a lead in like that :-)?

Mark-
I had the same question with my B-3. Being the cheap bas@#$d that I am I took the Limbsaver slip on recoil pad off my 06. It slipped onto the B-3 perfect, plus it added about an inch to the LOP, which made it shoulder much easier for me. Think it cost me $19 at wally world and it's the small frame size.
Don't know about the QB's (don't have one....yet)

You are absolutely right Mark this is no joking matter(snicker snicker). I did some searching and here is something I came up with might be a bit pricey but it would solve the porblem hehe. Try here and then look around the brownells catalog they have a lot of interesting stuff not to mention a good technical library. Also I just came up with an idea...Old semi truck mudflaps or trailer mudflaps might work also go to any truck/trailer repair place and they will have a bazillion old ones.

Mark

I replaced my B-3 plastic butt plate with a Gamo 440 rubber butt pad and it was almost perfect..:) Also you can buy the rubber butt pads on line and shape them to fit.. I did it with my RWS 34. It had no butt pad at all and it came out great.. I have a picture somewhere and will post it..
