RUKO Match pellets
« on: May 29, 2007, 02:59:32 PM »
I've been using these in .177 and .22 for about a week.  Anyone else used these before?
My research thus far indicates they are actually Gamo's sold by RUKO of Canada, an importer.
They don't fit quite as tight as the Gamo's in my guns.  Accuracy seems to be decent so far.  Gotta do some shooting at a little distance
yet.

Well, it's 16 August '07 and here's a little update.
I've just about maxed out the usable hunting range of my QB57.  I'm at almost 20 yds so I've got a few more to go.
Accuracy is outstanding as long as I can hold it as still as possible.  1 ragged hole at 15 yds and counting.

Ditto for my B26 as long as it's nearly motionless.
The guy I talked to at the gun shop said their testing wasn't too good at 40 yds.  I have to wonder if it was bench rested or doorway rested.
PeakChick, if you're interested, I got 'em at Shootin' Den on Filmore.  Sometimes the guy with the cowboy hat gets his story screwed up (beware).  He's not a bad guy though.

I continue field testing and at slightly longer ranges than target work(12-18m) and so far I can
hit starling size targets to 30m as long as I can hold my B26 still enough.
I will add input as the summer progresses.  :)

I believe you're right. The labelling on the bottom of my Ruko .177 Match (500) is the same as that on a tin of Gamo Match that I bought.

Then again, Gamo claims to have very tight QC, and if a batch of pellets fails a spot-check they ditch the whole batch. Maybe THOSE are the Ruko's!

Vince, funny you mention that.  I was just thinking that today.  I don't quite get the same accuracy from the Ruko's as the Gamo's.
However,  I did take a grackle 2 days ago at 41 yds with a hit dead center in the chest.
I could see the impact in the Leapers 3-9 and it just dropped dead.
