My Shop
« on: May 30, 2007, 03:22:12 PM »
Well, the outside & window of my shop anyway. I haven't taken any pix of the inside. I still need to Clean & remodel it. It waaaaas my paint shop for a while, but th Fire Marshal paid me a visit last year and told me different.

It's a little 10x14  "Shack"  in the backyard. But other than the garage, it's my Fortress of Solitude. I do anything from rebuild engines to working on airguns or just smoking my pipe in there. No one's allowed in but ME and whoever else I invite.

I painted the window back in 2002 when I first moved in. I painted it from the inside with different shades & opaquness paint for a nice backlit effect. It's not as good as it used to be because of 5 years worth of fading.

I know, I knoooooow. It's not the best backyard either LoL hahaha... I'm allergic!

COOL Sam and I'm sure you'll have it set up for airgun maddness in no time. Grab a hose though, I think it's on FIRE!. Cool flames too. This is my shooting range above my airgun shop, old hay barn converted into a two car garage and then some. the range is 25yrds long, plenty of room, GTA doghouse hehe. More target''s have been added since pic from last year. Ed

Man Ed...I WISH my little spot was that big! There'd be a bed for late night work in there, a fridge, propane stove and ALL my tools!

Hehe ,got the fridge, got a barrel stove for heat, microwave for heating up lunch and SAT. TV, dont want to miss my hunting show's hehe. I make COWBOY coffee on my barrel stove during the chilly winter's here. There is a couch and lazy boy up in the loft to the left of the shooting range, I've taken a few nap's up there LOL. Ed

Nope hehe A 30 gal. barrel stove. Got the design's off a hunting camp websight and made it myself, make sure you put sand or fireplace block's in the bottom, keep's from burning it through. Made a hotplate for the top to cook on or for coffee, been heating nicely for two year's now. Ed

I made one similar to what you describe from a Pony Keg. It lasted for years. Also made a Barbeque out of one also. Cut it in half, hinged it, added a handle and put a post in the one side. Worked great... no rust, easy clean, no burn out. Musta had it 15 years or more before I moved down here and it was as good as the day that I made it.

Yep Bob, they work pretty good. I can stoke it up the night before and still have it nice and toasty in the morning. Ed
