About the Gamo CFX .22's
« on: June 05, 2007, 09:38:36 AM »
To bring the information up to date and to squash any mis-information.

Gamo contacted me today and one of the things that was brought up during some of our discussions was the CFX .22 that popped up. Here is a little tidbit of info.

It seems as though there is only one dealer that will have them and there will only be 150 of them brought in and that will be it for the foreseeable future. I suggest that if anybody wants one that they don't sit on it because I don't think they will last long. There will be another market test in the US hopefully but not real soon I don't believe.

Also during our discussions, I found that the reason (and what I and most others assumed) that they pulled the .22 off the US market was the sales. I knew from previous discussions that the sales ratio of the. 177 to the. 22 was wide but was surprised to find that it was 117:1. From the marketing stand point it's very easy to see why Gamo discontinued them here in the US and from a marketing stance, was probably a wise thing to do.

WOW Bob, that is a real surprise.. about the market test. I think they picked a good air rifle to test. I have my CFX Royal .22 which is still will be a collectors air rifle untill they do a market test on them and then I will be sad...:(  But I would think the .22 demand would be increasing over time because more people are catching on to this hobby and sport.. The Hunters amongs us sure know where the power lays..:)

Thanks for the information Bob.. I am sure many do appreciate it.

I'm glad I pressed that order button :)

Thanks for the info Bob......

Maybe when I show my wife that info she'll feel differently about me ordering the .22 CFX  ??  Nah, just wishful thinking on my part but I don't care cause I got a new rifle coming   :)  :)
