Custom B3 get's first notch
« on: June 07, 2007, 02:02:16 PM »
After running around all day taking care of some camo prospect's I got home and took a hour to do some hunting. I decided that it was time to break in the second B3 on some live game. I changed into my ghillie garb and chambered a Tomahawk into the B3. As I headed out to the field's I had a good feeling about this hunt. Making my way across the field I started to scan the grove of tree's ahead of me, looking for movement among the limb's. Out of the corner of my eye I caught some movement, not in the tree's but at the base of a old crabapple tree. What do we have here...A rabbit and down to the ground I go to check my baby, wind direction and yrd's. Gessing about 30yrds I pull myself up to my knee's and set the crosshair's on his head. With a smooth squeeze of the trigger I release the Tomahawk and it find's it's mark. My custom B3 has passed the test and proven herself a worthy hunter, notch that stock. Stepped it out, came to 23yrds still pleased so I grabbed my game and headed home to take a pic, clean my game and place dinner in the icebox. Ed

Nice dinner Ed,
I recall that this B3 has  a "Tune A-La Ed" and you even have
the brass port insert in it.  Customised stock, trigger
guard and much more.

I wish to know iwhat type of mount and scope do you have on it?

I like its looks and my B3 has gave me fits.
I had to shim it up by about 25 thousands to get it to level off.
I decided that is too much shim inside the ring (solid "cheep" mounts)
so I took it off.
I am using the iron sight again.
I am thinking about a one piece mount for the "Camo Gun"

Ed, that's a fine looking B-3 and rabbit. Not that you  need it, but you need to think about what we were talking about, with the hook and cheek well. It's real nice when all you have to do is point and shoot. Which I know that it comes comes second nature to some, but it is still nice to have less to think about when making a shot. Try it and you will not be disapointed.Look to the left that's 15 shots at 30yrds.

Gordon, the scope is a Accushot by Leapers, no AO and the scope and mount are one solid piece. I got it from my buddy Gene, he couldn't see through it hehe. Ed

Mike, I was thinking of the hook for the butt also. I noticed that Cummins has free shipping, may have to get another B3 to do some heavy stock mod's on and of coarse asuper tune. };) Ed
