Made a new CFX muzzle brake...
« on: June 16, 2007, 01:21:32 PM »
I didnt fancy the plastic muzzle brake on my CFX, too big for my taste.

Made this one of stainless steel, its held on by 4 grub screws.

Paint is still drying, will post a pic when its mounted  :D

Yah! I'd like to see it mounted! I cannot warm to the stock plastic brake.  It just looks WRONG on the rifle!

Nice work, Kenneth, but isn't a stainless brake going to make it even more muzzle heavy?  I agree with Charles, that plastic thing does look wrong, but I guess I've gotten used to it.  At least I had, 'til I saw yours!  Later.

Here it is, I think the weight is about the same, maybe a little heavier, than the plastic one, but I cant feel any difference in balance.

My stock is filled with thermoplastic glue, to add weight, the stuff you use in glueguns, around 1 pound of it, also to remove the hollow sound when shooting it  :o
