Hey Califronia, how about a hunting trip or two??
« on: June 20, 2007, 11:45:06 AM »
The new 2007-2008 California hunting licenses are being sold now and that means that rabbit season is about to open statewide (July 1st). We also will have the upland game season open before we know it and that means hunting for quail (should be from late September into January). chukkar and even turkey (if you have a .20 gauge or bigger). Jack rabbits, starlings and sparrows are in season all year. If you have a spot where we could take a small group of hunters, post your idea and lets plan a trip!! Anyone know J.P. Shelton at the uplandhunter.net?? We ought to get him involved as he is an avid air gun hunter with experience in hunting quail with a Gamo Shadow with a CDT trigger. Below is a post from one of my hunts this year. You don't need a cannon to kill rabbits, just a willingness to hunt hard!
