The Mad Doctors shop

Since there seem to be quite a few shop tinkerers on this forum I thought that some of you would be interested in my toys,,, er,, tools. hehe

I thought that I was familiar with shop equipment, but I have never seen some of those toys !!

It's no wonder that you can build so many neat Mod's ! All it takes is time and skill !!LOL

Beautiful shop Doc., You should label those machines so people like me can ask questions about them. LOL

Out of site Doc..:)  Only in my dreams could I have a shop like yours.. hehe  You can make anything with that machinery.

I like building things from the available materials on hand,,, haha. Look carefully and you will see lots familiar parts on the mill. The main body is a four cylinder engine block, a con rod for the overarm support, main bearing caps for the overarm clamps,,, I spent years building my tools, now I can build airguns,,, life is good.

From top to bottom,,, The XRD is a small homebuilt lathe that I tinkered together,,, The big lathe is a 12 x 36 Chinese machine,,, The shaper is a 14" Eliot (made in England),, and the small horizontal milling machine is also home built, I call it "The Engine Mill" due to the fact that many auto engine parts were used in it's construction.

is all tap & die work. hehe ;-)

I now have a very bad case of shop envy.
