The elevation adjustment wheel doesn't turn.  I can't figure out how to remove sight to fix. Once again help would be appreciated.

Is it all the way down or all the way up?

Does the adjustment wheel look like it's straight or cocked?

There's nothing normally locking it, and there's nothing to keep it from backing all the way out.

Try pushing the rear sight blade down (it should be spring loaded). That should disengage the detent holding the wheel... if the detent is (for some reason) locking onto the wheel and not letting it turn, that should free it up.

Worse comes to worst, you may have to force it... since you need to remove the elevation wheel to remove the sight.

Thanks for the info.  How do I remove the wheel (if I have to) without trashing same.  Just pull it off , or twist it off?  You can tell I'm not very knowledgeable, but you guys teach me something everytime I log on.

It's threaded, Mario, CCW should unscrew it.  Of course, if it's cross threaded, it may already be screwed :-)!  Once you get the big elev. adjustment screw off, the upper half of the sight will pivot forward.  Then there's a smaller screw that holds it to the barrel.  Good luck!
