CFX 22 Pellets
« on: June 27, 2007, 08:52:58 AM »
Hey,

I am new here and was wondering if you guys could help me out?  I was reading all of the nfo on the CFX 22 and decided to get one the next chance I saw them in stock.  Well I ordered one yesterday and was wondering what pellets you guys have been using?  I am really excited about the new rifle.

Thanks in advance

Welcome Bryan,

Glad to have you aboard.

As for the CFX .22       I just completed grouping tests 2 days ago on mine.  It shot extremely well with a variety of pellets but the 2 best pellets in my gun were RWS Superdomes and Beeman FTS.  At 30 yards the Superdomes gave almost one ragged hole groups and the FTS actually did stacked pellet on top of pellet.  I wound up doing the final sight in with the Beeman FTS pellets.

JSB Exact Express,,,  JSB EXact,,,,  Crosman Premier Hollow Points,,, JSB Predators   and RWS Super Hollow Points also gave nice dime sized groups in my gun.

Not quite sure what you'll be using your gun for, but if yours is like mine you'll be able to pick one of several different pellets to suit your needs.

Again, welcome to the friendliest forum on the net and I 'll look forward to your future posts.  Let us know how you make out.

Mine seems to prefer pellets with wide skirts, RWS superpoint, superdome and meisterkugeln is what I feed my CFX  :)

Big welcome Bryan, found a good shooter and now you need to find out what she likes. My CFX.22 loves the Predators and Hunters and like Jeff's baby I can pretty much chew up the bullseye at 40yrds. .:) You'll have to get some different types of pellet's and find out where she want's to put them and set up your scope or open sight's for the grouping that put's a smile on your face.  :D Ed

Cool! Another Bryan that spells his name correctly* LOL!

Thanks also for asking about the Gamo CFX .22 pellet likes and dislikes. I needed that info myself and hadn't gotten a chance to ask yet.
